Visited dinner time around 6:30PM without reservation waited around 15min. Not to mention it, steak was perfect. Ordered three porterhouse, tomato onion salad and onion ring for 4 people. Server was nice and atmosphere was decent too. However, onion ring is not recommended because it not that crispy.

Very good steakhouse with good prices. I highly recommend coming for lunch. First off, lunch set begins at 34 dollars. For appetisers, the caesar salad had a nice tang to it, good and crunchy croutons. The soup was interesting with a hint of shellfish flavour, it’s not for everyone but worth trying. The beef tartare was delicious, it was super tangy and tender. The bread was a nice compliment. The prime rib sandwich was sooo delicious the meat was super tender and flavourful. The fries were super crispy and the jus was a nice sauce for the sandwich The filet mignon was beautifully seared with a crispy crust, whilst maintaining that juicy and flavourful interior. However sadly the sliced one wasn’t as nice, but u get what you pay for honestly speaking. It was more chewy, but potatoes were still decent Dessert was not bad, the key like pie had citrus notes. The sorbet was tangy and I felt like it was really fresh as the raspberry flavour came through. Service was good shoutout to joe and sal they were friendly and engaging. The different servers were also alert and constantly checked on us. Overall a super wonderful steakhouse experience. Highly recommend going for the lunch set, worth every penny.

Incredible establishment in NYC. They have a awesome bar that you should have a drink at. They also have their meat locker as soon as you walk in for photos. Service was top not as expected at a steak house. We had a tomahawk for 2 that was cooked to perfection. The spinach was above very well prepared. Great cocktail menu. This is a wonderful place for a special occasion.

Just to enjoy some fancy food here, my friend and I spent three full days of our New York trip eating nothing but Burger King and cheap pizza, because this was a broke, low-budget trip......... Anyway... the food, service, and atmosphere were all emazing. I’d love to come back with her again.

Very nice place! All the waiters are very professional and treat every guest with respect. I saw some reviews mentioning that a waiter was being racist, but I didn’t see anything like that. There was a Chinese couple sitting next to me who didn’t speak English very well, but the staff did their best to communicate using polite and proper service language. I was really impressed! Although I received sparkling water instead of still (which I requested), I believe it was just a misunderstanding due to the loud music. I also really liked the sauce, and the steak was super tender.

I came here for my birthday dinner and Gallagher truly is a classic atmosphere filled with history. The waiters are very attentive and true professionals. I started the night off with a Negroni and Calamari for starters. My main course was the Rib Steak with sides of creamed spinach and the Mac and cheese. Everything was great and I had leftovers to spare. The portions are ample and only thing I would have added was some extra seasoning to the steak to give it that extra kick of flavor. Otherwise everything was great !!

It's the best steakhouses in NYC. The moment you step inside, you're transported back to a bygone era of elegance and sophistication. The dimly lit, wood-paneled dining rooms exude a classic charm, and the attentive service adds to the overall experience. Shout-out to Kevin and his serving partner!! The star of the show, of course, is the steak and their jumbo shrimps. The quality of the meat and the shrimp is exceptional, expertly cooked to perfection, and the wine list is extensive, offering a wide range of options to complement your meal.

The best steak, wedge salad, and New York cheesecake I’ve ever had. The wedge salad was perfectly fresh and crispy, with flavorful tomatoes and bacon. The steak was tender and paired with an incredible sauce that tasted like a blend of tomato, lemon juice, and herbs. The cheesecake was light, smooth, and not overly sweet. Portions were generous, and the atmosphere was classy and lively—an ideal spot for gatherings.
